For over ten years, Robin has been honing her skill sets at the intersection of finance, sustainability, and community engagement. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Public Administration from Eastern Michigan University and a joint MBA/M.S. Environmental Science and Policy from Clark University. She is also a certified nonprofit professional with the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance and has received numerous awards and recognition for her leadership and dedication to community service. Currently Robin works as a Manager at Ceres, a sustainability nonprofit working to transform the economy to build a sustainable future for people and the planet. Prior to joining Ceres, Robin worked as a trail crew leader, environmental educator, kitchen manager, social media guru, sustainability analyst, and a retail banker. Woven throughout all of these experiences is Robin’s passion to use creativity and systems thinking in addressing our most pressing problems, from how serve hundreds of hungry bellies at an outdoor science school all the way up to how we can influence corporations to address climate change and human rights.
Outside of work, Robin loves being a connector: of people, of places, and of resources. As a Young Philanthropist Fellow with The Philanthropy Connection, Robin serves on a grant review committee and writes handwritten welcome notes to new members. She organizes monthly events with Building a Sustainable Investment Community (BASIC) in Boston where she works to integrate topics of gender, race, impact, and community into the discussions around sustainable investing in the area. Robin is also active in the contra dance community where she helps with marketing efforts with the Worcester Contra Dance.
If you run into Robin at the Hearth, be sure to ask her about her latest baking creation and what flavors of kombucha she’s brewing. She’ll be sure to ask you about your favorite podcasts and your recommendations on where to go hiking over the weekend
