Matthew Mazzotta’s Open House

Matthew Mazzotta’s Open House was built in York, Alabama as a transformational community art project.  After careful consideration with the community, the artist learned that what York needed was an accessible community space.  At the same time, they needed to get rid of some of the abandoned buildings that were an eye sore around town.

Matthew Mazzotta put two and two together to make the Open House, a house that transforms into an open air theater seating 100 people.
