Projects

Miranda’s Hearth has been growing by leaps and bounds since it was started in July, 2013.  Though we still don’t have an actual space, we have several projects in the works for people to be part of.

Tumbleweed Tiny House

Tumbleweed Tiny House

1.) BIG Art; Tiny House

BIG Art; Tiny House is yearlong public art project from June 2015 – June 2016 that highlights the functional forms of art rarely seen in more traditional venues.  We’re excited to be building a tiny house from scratch on the front lawn of The Umbrella Community Arts Center in Concord, MA.

2.) #whatimake
In collaboration with Miranda’s book, Don’t Make Art, Just Make Something, we’ve been asking people to send us pictures of what they make.  We’re working on creating a visual representation of all the cool stuff people create through these pictures and through murals at events like the Somerville Skillshare, Artbeat, and Figment Boston.

2.) The BIG Tiny House Festival

To raise awareness for tiny houses in New England, we partnered with the Somerville Arts Council to host the BIG Tiny House Festival on September 20, 2014.  Thanks to everyone who came out, it was a blast to see you all there!
