Weekly creative community nights are coming to Beverly!

Hoping to reconnect with creativity and community in 2019? Starting on Thursday, January 10 from 6:00-8:00 pm, the arts-based non-profit Miranda’s Hearth will be hosting weekly creative community nights at Waring Downtown, 286 Cabot Street, Beverly.

This regular gathering will offer a creative community space for people of all backgrounds, professional artists and otherwise, to gather and make something. Participants are encouraged to bring art projects, work projects, games, instruments, and/or food to share.

“We believe that creativity is one of the best vehicles for building community,” says Hearth Founder, Miranda Aisling. “When people sit together and create, they build the positive shared experiences that are the basis for all strong relationships.”

“I’m excited for there to be a place where creatives can come together and share art, and ideas. A place where locals can inspire and motivate each other to create new things down avenues that may not have expected,” adds Emma Basso, Beverly resident and local artist. “It’s also hard to make time to sit down and create and this gives people the opportunity to do that and an excuse to make that time for themselves and their creative habit.”

Miranda’s Hearth has been presenting weekly community nights on Mondays in Somerville since last January. Abigail Moldover, a regular attendee and special education teacher, says “Hearth Community Night is one of my favorite parts of the week. I love having time to de-stress and work on projects while surrounded by positive and creative people. Whether I’m painting, knitting, or playing board games, I always leave feeling both relaxed and inspired. “

After five years hosting programming throughout Greater Boston, Miranda’s Hearth is focusing on Beverly, MA as their future home. The Board of Directors is currently putting together a proposal to repurpose Briscoe Middle School as a multi-purpose community arts center. Last July, they brought Aubergine, the Tiny House to Montserrat College of Art in a month-long public art-installation that introduced them to the town.

Stop by 286 Cabot Street on Thursday evenings to learn more about Miranda’s Hearth and their goals for the creative community in Beverly and throughout Greater Boston.
